Amsterdam Lookout

On the 25th of August 2016 the swing on the roof of the Amsterdam Tower, the Amsterdam Lookout was officially opened.
I was fortunate to be invited to this event by a friend of mine.

Clear blue skies and a warm sunny day were perfect ingredients for a party and a shooting session from the roof at the Amsterdam Lookout.
When we arrived, the sun was about to set and after meeting everybody we went up.
The elevator is quite the ride. Having tv screens in the ceiling of the elevator, which give that extra experience going up to the roof make it even better. I won’t tell you what you see, just go there and see it for yourself.

Once on the roof you have a 360 degrees view over the skyline of Amsterdam and the wide “polder” landscape to the north.
Looking over the IJ river towards the city center, you have the letters AMSTERDAM on the roof of the new train and bus station. Just below, you will find the amazing EYE film museum which is surely worth the visit!

When the sun was set the view got even better.
The lights went on and we started to take photos.

It surely is one of the best places to see the skyline of Amsterdam!

Apart from the stunning view, you can now also take a seat in the highest swing of Europe.
Over The Edge.
At a stunning 100m above Amsterdam, you can swing on (and over) the roof of the Amsterdam Tower.
