Perseid Meteor shower

The Perseid Meteor shower would peak between 11 and 12 august.
Lucky us the weather was terrible. Complete overcast sky and the moon at the half phase.
All night I was watching outside if the clouds would break, but they didn’t.

On the 12th the day was terrible. Strong winds and an overcast sky again….
The night however was complete clear!

We arrived at 2330 at the spot where we would be shooting the night sky and hopefully the milky way.
All camera’s set up and we placed a small tent in the frame to get something interesting in the foreground as well.
I was taking a time lapse, which I could stack together to get star trails. Just in case we wouldn’t catch a meteor on camera.

We took several viewpoints and I used both my Zeiss Milvus 21 f2.8 lens and the Samyang 12mm f2.8.
The first setup had the most meteors in the frame so I went with that one.

This image is captured with the Milvus 21mm.
Hope you like it!
